Karen - Founder and Trip Director
I was a keen swimmer and runner in my teens, but really rediscovered sport after having children, as the perfect carve out of much-needed me-time. I love the freedom and perspective I get from fresh air and exercise!
In 2023 I ran my first marathon and got a taste for the challenge, since then I've been steadily working my way through the World Marathon Majors and have been lucky enough to be invited to a couple of Age Groups World Champs along the way. I love trail running and am currently testing the water in triathlon!

Doug - Head Coach and Route Director
Doug was an Elite Road Racing Cyclist and has raced his bike all over the UK, around Europe and even in Africa. He won the National Masters Road Race in 2016.
Doug decided to hang up his racing wheels in 2018 and now devotes his spare time to exploring the off-road trails of the Chilterns through Running, Hiking and Off-road Cycling.
Doug is passionate about sharing his knowledge of the outdoors with new people as well as helping people to achieve sporting goals.

Tom - Resident Tween Trip Tester
Tom is Stridely’s Teen and Tween trip inspiration. He rarely sits still and is happiest outdoors exploring - whether that’s hiking, running, cycling, canoeing, or simply getting as muddy as possible!
Never one to shy away from a challenge, Tom’s energy and adventurous spirit inspire us to create family trips that push boundaries while still being fun, rewarding, and, of course, sprinkled with sweet shops and ice cream stops along the way.
